Atalanta, deeply moved, mourn the passing of Giorgio Veneri.

Veneri, who donned the Atalanta shirt for nine seasons from 1958 to 1967, was part of the legendary roster that, on that fateful June 2 1963, defeated Torino 3-1 in the San Siro final and lifted the Coppa Italia.

President Antonio Percassi and the whole Atalanta family commemorate Giorgio Veneri’s legacy and, sharing the pain felt by all his loved ones, wish to tender their most heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies.
