Nations League: Mario Pašalić to play the final

After defeating the Netherlands of Koopmeiners and de Roon

Mario Pašalić’s Croatia have punched their ticket for the final of the UEFA Nations League after defeating the Netherlands of Teun Koopmeiners and Marten de Roon 4-2 in the “black-and-blue derby” hosted last night in Rotterdam.

With the name of the first finalist etched into the schedule only after extra time, not only did Mario play the whole match but he also scored the second goal for the Vatreni – hitting the crossbar once too.

As for our Oranje Atalantini, while Koopmeiners played the whole match de Roon hit the pitch in the 2nd half of extra time coming from the bench.

In the second semi-final scheduled for today, Thursday the 15th of June at 20:45 CEST, Rafael Toloi will take on Spain as Italy face La Roja in Enschede.

Save the date for Sunday the 18th of June when both the third-place playoff and the Grand Finale are to take place.
