Spain will be Croatia’s challenger for victory in the Nations League. Italy lost 2-1 to the Spanish side, conceding the second goal with two minutes to go until the 90th minute when extra time was just around the corner. Rafael Toloi played the entire match for the Azzurri.

Mario Pašalić’s Croatia have already pencilled themselves in the UEFA Nations League final after defeating his Oranje teammates Teun Koopmeiners and Marten de Roon 4-2 only after extra time. While Mario, who scored the second “checkered” goal and hit the crossbar once too, and Koopmeiners played the whole match, de Roon hit the pitch in the 2nd half of extra time coming from the bench.

In the 3rd-place playoff, Toloi’s Italy will take on Koopmeiners and de Roon’s Netherlands.
