On matchday 6 of the 2022-2023 Primavera 1 TIM “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” championship, the match against Inter ends 1-1 at the stadium Breda in Sesto San Giovanni.
The first attempts came off the hosts, but Pardel, on his seasonal debut, was well alert and denied Owosu first, on 7 minutes, and then Martini three minutes later. Atalanta responded to it in the 19th minute through Muhameti, whose volley was turned over the crossbar by Calligaris, and through Vorlickyi, whose right-footer from the edge of the box was parried by Inter’s shot-stopper in the 23rd minute. The deadlock was broken in the 38th minute by Atalanta’s captain De Nipoti (in the cover photo), who managed to beat the on-rushing goalkeeper from De Lungo’s cross.
The second half opened with Esposito’s header that levelled up the match for Inter after three minutes. Inter threatened again in the 51st minute with Curatolo, but Pardel denied him. Fioretto’s team had three chances to restore their lead on 62 minutes through Stabile, Vavassori and De Nipoti but saw their shot charged down by the goalkeeper first and then by a defender. De Nipoti set up Stabile who was inside the box in the 91st minute but Calligaris managed to push the effort away. The last chance was for Inter on 94 minutes, but Curatolo’s shot finished wide. It ends 1-1 at the Breda: it is the second useful result for the Atalanta Primavera, who move up to four points in the standings.
