After defeating Cremonese 2-0 at the Voltini stadium in Crema, Atalanta Primavera will dispute the final of the 45th  Trofeo Dossena. After breaking the deadlock on the 25′ with  Vlahović (pictured in the cover) who slotted in the penalty previously awarded to Vavassori, the lads coached by Bosi were inches away from doubling their lead, yet Manzoni’s chance hit the woodwork. Contrary to the adage “a missed goal concedes one”, not only did Cremonese squander their opportunity for a provisional equalizer smashing the crossbar from the penalty spot, but they also finished the match one man down (after being shown a red card on the the 64′ for a foul on  Palestra). On the 74′ the Primavera eventually put the match on ice courtesy of Bevilacqua, who lobbed the ball in after receiving Bonanomi’s assist.

In the final, scheduled for Saturday at 21:00 CEST and to be hosted at the Voltini stadium in Crema, Atalanta’s Primavera will take on Jufa, second finalists after their 4-1 victory over Monza in the semi-finals, in a rather quaint re-match after their previous encounter in the group stage.
