The Head of Atalanta BC’s Youth Academy Roberto Samaden attended the “Giochiamo d’anticipo – Lo sport è più bello e sicuro se tutti si impegnano”  (Let’s play ahead – Sports is better and safer if everyone does their part) conference held at the Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan as one of the main guests and speakers.

The meeting concerned a delicate and crucial topic: the plight of physical, emotional and sexual abuses occurring within the so-called “circles of trust” – a term also comprising sports-related domains – a pervasive and transversal social problem in the European and International setting. During the course of the meeting, references have been made to the importance of identifying all the appropriate tools to raise awareness, prevent and combat any violence against minors in the world of sports. The event also served the purpose of reporting the achievements obtained by the experimental “Giochiamo d’anticipo” project, realized with the endorsement and the contribution of the National Department for Family policies.

A key topic to which Atalanta has shown countless of times a most attentive stance: as customary with each new sporting season, the psycho-pedagogic department of the Club, headed by Doctor Lucia Castelli, organizes meetings and refresher courses for all Atalanta registered athletes and staffing to ensure the maximum degree of protection to all Academy players regardless of age and gender.
