After resting last week, the Atalanta For Special lads returned to the pitch as they faced Fiorentina Ossona in Busto Garolfo, in the province of Milan, on matchday 4 of the DPCS third division Group B championship: the Nerazzurri came out on top from the game clinching a 5-0 win courtesy of Gianmarco Masserini’s brace and single goals by Paolo Leidi, Daniel Caccia and Paolo Valota.
The Atalanta For Special got off to a truly flying start: after taking the lead on 5 minutes with Masserini, it took them just further five minutes to double the scoring with Leidi.
In the second half Andrea Arrigoni and Dario Cremaschi, two up-and-comers from the black-and-blue Academy took it to the pitch. Building on a better athleticism and a fruitful tactical disposition, the For Special side once again scored two goals in just five minutes, making it 4-0 thanks to two masterful solo plays from, respectively, Valota and Masserini -who hence completed his brace.
The closing minutes saw Caccia topping off the team performance with a ferocious drive to make it 5-0.
The solid collective performance showcased by the squad is but a consequence of the hard training carried out with utmost enthusiasm and team spirit by the whole group to take in the 7-a-side playing dynamics; namely, an array of tactics and schemes never experienced beforehand.
