Thanks for everything, Remo Freuler!

The midfielder joins Nottingham Forest

Atalanta B.C. announce the permanent transfer of the player Remo Freuler to Nottingham Forest.

“It is never easy to say goodbye – said Remo -, especially after six years full of emotions and great achievements. Together we managed to do incredible things, taking our colours and the image of this beautiful city around Europe. It is thanks to your affection that I have always felt at home in Bergamo. That is why I want to thank everyone: the Percassi family, the directors, coach Gasperini, his staff, my teammates with whom I have shared joy and unforgettable moments over the years, and then all those who make this Club great by working passionately behind the scenes. And of course, a huge thank you goes to the fans, who have always supported us, both in happy and difficult times. Fortunately, the latter were few. However, there is a time in one’s career when one may have to make choices, albeit painful ones: I decided to seize this opportunity to try a new experience, to compete in a new league like the Premier League. However, Bergamo and Atalanta will always be a part of me.”

Remo arrived in Bergamo in January 2016. We have come a long way together since then: it has been an intense and exciting journey, full of mutual satisfaction. We have achieved incredible milestones that have become history. Freuler will forever be a part of this history, as well as a part of the Atalanta family.

We have experienced many unforgettable moments together, from the magical nights in the UEFA Champions League to the record-breaking league campaigns: 260 official appearances, 21 goals scored, thousands of kilometres in the Atalanta shirt, which has always been sweated, as was his style. Commitment, devotion, dedication, endless runs and consistency: this is how he earned a place in the hearts of all Atalanta fans.

Now we part ways for a new professional experience, but our affection and bond will remain forever.

Thanks for everything, Remo!
