Being eponymous with the city of Bergamo since 1907, with the 2023/24 Third Kit, code-named the “Bergamo City Edition”, Atalanta pay their homage to their hometown.

Following in the same direction adopted for the Home ad Away Jersey, Joma, Technical Sponsor of the Nerazzurri, crafted a mesh that cleverly combines a poignant drive for innovation and sustainability, thanks to the use of 100% recycled fabrics, with an elegant style of thoughtful details.
Such is the case of the city’s map, embossed on the jersey’s front with a tone-on-tone technique.

The model chosen by Joma for the 2023-2024 Third kit features an elegant polo collar: while the exterior portion sports the signature black-and-blue motive, which is also echoed in the rib-knit sleeves, and the internal elastic ribbing is characterized by the “Bergamo, BG” lettering.

The jacquard fabric, made of 100% recycled sources, features a 3-D optical motive. As tradition dictates, the shirt will don the  “La Maglia Sudata Sempre” (“Always sweat the shirt”) motto on the inner side of the collar and the “Atalanta Bergamo” logo, featuring the jersey to underscore the link between the Club and its town,  on the back, right below the collar.

The unveiling of the City Edition Kit is accompanied by a short film to further celebrate Bergamo.

Moving on to the more “technical” features of the 2023/24 Third Kit, in the wake of the Club’s and Joma’s joined pledge towards sustainability and following the solutions previously adopted for the 2023/24 Home and Away shirts, the Bergamo Edition Jersey is also made in 100% polyester recycled fabrics, maintaining sustainability as the lynchpin of all productive processes. This fabric was produced from recycled materials, specifically, PET bottles, which were then turned into raw material. This reduces 75% of CO2 emissions and avoids using petroleum derivatives. Recycled polyester is elastic, resistant and breathable.

Joma, one of the main worldwide benchmarks of the technical apparel industry, fitted Atalanta’s shirt with all the latest and the most cutting-edge technological means developed in recent years by the Spanish brand thanks to its outstanding investments in the R&D department.

The fabric is treated with the micro-mesh procedure in order to combine the utmost degrees of efficiency in both breathability and body heat release with a more comfortable fitting.
While all seams adopt the flatlock feature to reduce chafing; all bespoke details and features have been designed to ensure paramount comfort: henceforth, all logos have been applied with the Joma Sportech system; through which a flexible yet resistant material is bonded to the fabric through heat to avoid any friction with the aim of improving the athlete’s wellbeing throughout the match.
