On the morning of Thursday, February 15, Lega Pro President Matteo Marani, accompanied by General Secretary Emanuele Paolucci, welcomed the invitation issued by Atalanta BC’s CEO Luca Percassi for a walkabout of the Centro Bortolotti, headquarters of the Under-23s side. As further chaperones to the meeting with the Lega Pro executives, the Atalanta delegation also comprised Director General Umberto Marino and Atalanta U23’s Sporting Director Fabio Gatti.

In the words of CEO Luca Percassi: “Aside from the exquisite pleasantry of today’s get-together, these meetings also served as an invaluable opportunity for discussion on the future of the B-sides in the Lega Pro championship. Through President Mariani himself, we immediately established a constructive and continuous dialogue. We firmly believe in the Atalanta Under-23s project. On the part of our Club, as I previously stressed on several occasions, partaking in the Lega Pro is a huge opportunity. Our (so-called) “B side” allows us to follow and support the nurturing of our youngsters with a more hands-on approach, especially now as they take their first professional steps ”.
