With the league currently on hold for the World Cup in Qatar, any training activity of the first team is suspended for the next two weeks. Training at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia is to resume with an afternoon session on Monday 28 November. To ensure the highest degree of proper physical, athletic and agonistic condition during the aforementioned lengthy break until the resumption of the league at the beginning of January (on the 4th of January, Atalanta are to play the away match against Spezia), four friendly international fixtures have been arranged.
Our first prestigious friendly match is set for Friday 9 December, a date to save as Atalanta will be taking on the German side Eintracht Frankfurt at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo in contention of the Trofeo Achille e Cesare Bortolotti (kick-off at 20:00 CET). On Saturday, the 17th of December at 13:00 CET the Nerazzurri will play OSC Nice away. Our last test before Christmas is fixed for Friday the 23rd of December at 17:00 CET against Real Betis Balonpié in Seville. With the friendly game on the 29th of December at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo against the Dutch team AZ Alkmaar, Atalanta will tender their proper send-off to 2022.
