The Youth and Academic Sector of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) have announced the regulations and the calendar of the New Stage of the 2020-2021 Serie A and B Under 17 Championship.
The New Stage of the Championship consists of three subsequent stages: a) Group Stage (the first and the second leg of the so-called round-robin tournament); b) Quarter-finals (single leg); c) the Final Stage of 4 teams (Semi-finals and the Final for first and second place are single-legged ties). The 40 participating teams are divided into eight groups of five teams each. At the end of the first stage of the Championship, the teams that sit in first place in each group qualify directly for the quarter-finals.
Atalanta coached by Giovanni Bosi were put in Group 3 with Brescia, ChievoVerona, Hellas Verona and L.R. Vicenza Virtus.
