Francesco Modesto shared his view on the draw against Pro Vercelli: “There’s nothing to reproach, we’ve hit the pitch after a rather peculiar week with the end of the transfer market taking the spotlight. Namely, although many key players have joined our ranks, the fact that they have accrued little playing time so far forces us to bide our time and err on the side of caution for the time being in order to bring out the best in them. The lads have once again showcased a solid display: while they might have staved our opponents off for longer, I’m still satisfied with what they have all brought onto the pitch, it wasn’t an easy test and they stood their ground well”.

Moving on, Francesco Modesto cared to underscore how: “The lads, all of them without fail, gave their level best as always. Leaving the Silvio Piola stadium without knowing defeat is never easy: not only do Pro Vercelli know how to play good football; but they’ve also changed their tactics mid-game. This is an undisputed proof of the footballing respect they have for us, which is totally reciprocated on our half.”.

In his closing remarks, the black-and-blue coach addressed the recently-concluded transfer window: “I have total and absolute faith in our Sporting Director Gatti and in his staffing”.
