In the aftermath of the 2023-2024 Serie C NOW MD36 fixture, coach Francesco Modesto addressed the road setback suffered in Padua as follows: “Despite the outcome, we got off to a great start, showing the right stance against a team that has been in contention for the title for the vast majority of the season”.

When it came to assessing the two goals conceded and the team’s following reaction, Francesco Modesto cared to underscore how: “While the first goal was truly a one-of-a-kind hit, we might as well have been a little bit lacking in the overall clearance. Then we had another slip-up, which allowed our opponents to double the scoring. Nonetheless and despite it all, the team still managed to fly in the face of the adversity and didn’t go down swinging until the final whistle. It’s a pity we couldn’t have found a way to at least half the deficit.”

“Although it was not vindicated in the end – the Atalanta coach closed off – the team still showed the right approach: we created plenty of chances, particularly in the second half. Tonight we only lacked that hint of mindfulness and that trust in our own abilities, that’s all”.
