As Atalanta U23s returned to winning ways, Francesco Modesto commented on the match as follows: “If I have to draw a comparison with the Padova match, where we didn’t venture enough, I can undoubtedly stress how we showed a different stance tonight. Still, were I to be a stickler, I think we should have been more thoughtful, especially as far as the circulation and management of the ball are concerned. All in all, though, the lads did a solid job in assessing the trend of the game and adapting to it accordingly; on the other hand, I saw the team still lacking that hint of cynicism upfront and, as far as further offensive tactics are concerned, we ought to be more daring; especially when it comes to creating more one-on-one situations and individual plays. From what I’ve registered so far, I can confidently say that the team is steadily getting more and more into the competitive mindset of this championship.”
