Francesco Modesto commented on the setback suffered against Fiorenzuola as follows: “Worse luck for us but as we kept on showing our late shortcomings, we ended up paying the price tonight. As I warned beforehand, not showing the proper malice when it comes to putting the game to bed would have backfired on us sooner or later and that time eventually came tonight. This group is made up of skilful yet still fledgling players, who have yet to fully earn their strips in a demanding league such as the Serie C. I’m hopeful this game will be most instructive for all of us. Still, the road ahead is still long and afoot of new satisfactions, I’m certain of that”

Despite the bitterness, coach Modesto cared to underscore how: “The only thing the lads need to do is to turn over a new leaf and carry on: what they’ve done so far is beyond reproach. We’ll just have to knuckle down like we’ve always done”.
