U23s internationals: the three Atalantini in the spotlight today

Diao and Palestra on target

Here’s the rundown of the last day of this session of March ’24 as three Atalantini hit the pitch almost in tandem for their respective Euro Qualifiers: starting off with the two Under-19s contestants, while Palestra made his third consecutive start for Italy and scored the second of the match in the Azzurrini’s 5-0 walkover over Georgia, Diao opened the scoring in Spain’s 2-1 win against Austria and was subbed off on 59 minutes.

Thanks to their latest wins, both the Azzurrini and La Rojita have made the cut in the Elite Round as top of their respective groups and have qualified for the Under-19 Euros’ final phase, to come about in Northern Ireland in July.

As for Vlahović, the striker featured in Serbia’s starting XI and played the whole game, which culminated in Northern Ireland’s 1-2 win.
