The traditional fair play event between the clubs and UEFA was also held in the Liverpool-Atalanta pre-match.

Andy Hughes, Liverpool Managing Director, and Luca Percassi, Atalanta CEO, met before kick-off: an exchange of greetings, congratulations and gifts in memory of a match which, even before it was played, had already entered by right into the over one-hundred-year history of the Nerazzurri club (cover photo).

The event was also attended by Ian Rush, former Reds striker (in the picture below).
