Group A Matchday 7 of 2023/24 Serie C NOW saw the Bergamasco derby between Atalanta Under 23 and AlbinoLeffe culminate in a 1-1 draw at the “Città di Caravaggio” stadium.

After Albinoleffe’s first hit of the night on 11 minutes, with Doumbia’s ranged shot testing a watchful Vismara, Atalanta retorted with a one-two in the late first half: namely, with a great shot from outside the box by Awua 34 minutes into the game (deflected) followed up, minutes prior to half time, by Ceresoli’s chance, whose run for the goal after a give-and-go with Italeng, got broken off by Marietta’s retrieval.

The second half saw the Nerazzurri earn the lead on 67 minutes with Palestra scoring a header straight from Bernasconi’s throw-in. On 78 minutes Arrighini scored the equalizer from the spot, converting the penalty awarded to AlbinoLeffe by the referee for a foul committed by Palestra. On the threshold of the final whistle, Atalanta had a chance to turn the match around: after turning a defender in the box, Italeng loosened a shot that got deflected behind the corner. Honours even at the end of the Bergamasco Derby.
