February was intense and exciting, full of important results and impressive performances for Atalanta, who played 7 matches in 28 days. Among the many matches played, three games stood out: the double tie with Napoli, at the end of which the Nerazzurri won the qualification for the Coppa Italia final and the historic match against Real Madrid at the Gewiss Stadium in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.
Many Nerazzurri were key players in the matches played in February, but the time has come to name the best: who will be the ItalianOptic Player of the Month?
The first round
In the first round, the fans will be able to cast their votes (from Friday 5 March at 8 p.m. till Saturday 6 at 8 p.m.) through a poll in which they will choose their favourite Atalanta player among those who have played at least in one of the following games:
- Coppa Italia, Napoli 0-0 Atalanta (3 February)
- Serie A TIM, Atalanta 3-3 Torino (6 February)
- Coppa Italia, Atalanta 3-1 Napoli (10 February)
- Serie A TIM, Cagliari 0-1 Atalanta (14 February)
- Serie A TIM, Atalanta 4-2 Napoli (21 February)
- UEFA Champions League, Atalanta 0-1 Real Madrid (24 February)
- Serie A TIM, Sampdoria 0-2 Atalanta (28 February)
The final
The two most voted players will eventually face each other in the final battle: the head-to-head will go live on the official Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts of Atalanta starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday 6 March.
