It’s finally official: Aleksej Miranchuk is a new Atalanta player! Here’s his first black-and-blue interview.

“First of all, I’m of course very happy that now it’s all official. I’m really happy to be here. Everybody knows Atalanta very well, as they’re one of the best and most interesting teams in Europe. I followed them in the Champions League over the last months and saw them play. My desire is to get better and be part of the team to grow together and win trophies”.

“I’m of course a great fan of football and, like everybody, I followed the Champions League and therefore Atalanta’s games as they progressed a lot in the campaign and everybody fell in love with the team, with their offensive style of play. I am so excited to watch this team”.

“As I always said in all interviews, I do not like to describe myself as a specific type of player. All I have to do is to take to the pitch, play well and try to show my best. Then people will tell me what they think”.

“In Russia people love and follow the Italian League, the Serie A. There are many great footballers here, so I think it was a great option for me and my dream of playing in a good European league has come true”.

“The first thing is that I want to adapt quickly and of course to be of use to the team. I’m happy to work with coach Gasperini. I’m sure that if I listen to him and follow his advice, then I will grow up as a player and I will thereby help the team”.
