32,750 euros: this is the final grand total raised by the charity auction of the 27 shirts furbished for the 2023 Xmas Match. This year all proceeds stemming from the joined initiative with Bergamo TV will be destined in their entirety to the benefit of the Associazione Amici della Pediatria charity, the institution supporting the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital of Bergamo by improving the care and support to hospitalized children and their families.
Namely, the shirts on offer belonged to the one-off kit specifically supplied to and worn by the entire team during Atalanta’s 4-1 win over Salernitana, the Nerazzurri’s last home fixture before Christmas, played back on December 18.
After the opening night of December 19 during the course of the TuttoAtalanta sports programme, the charity auction came full circle on the closing night of January 8 with their officious allotment. Upon being reached out, the winners honoured their promises to pay via the Atalanta Trust Fund established by the Club at the Fondazione della Comunità Bergamasca (Bergamo Community Foundation): as a measure implemented to satisfy the highest number of fans taking part in the initiative, and only in the event of multiple allocations, all second-best offers were deemed as winning bids.
In the special rankings of promises to pay, Muriel’s, de Roon’s and Miranchuk’s shirts took the podium, with all three reaching outstanding offers of 3,000 euros each and already bound to Lallio, Taleggio and Berbenno di Valtellina (in the Sondrio Province). A special mention also goes to skipper Toloi’s jersey, off to the deep North of… Finland, courtesy of an Atalanta fan working abroad.

This week the 27 jerseys, each and every one of them to bear the autograph of each respective wearer, will be handed over to their new owners during a private event: upon the provision of special coverage, a project revolving around the gathering in question will be then aired by Bergamo TV (both on the DTT channel number 15 or streamed on www.bergamotv.it) on Saturday, February 3, at 20:00 CET.
