Academy: the mid-season review

The comprehensive resume from the Primavera to the U14

With the Academy leagues as well on a Christmas hiatus and with all commitments to resume at the dawn of the New Year, it is high time to take stock of the performances of all our Youth teams at the watershed of the season – starting off from the Academy and moving on to our Grassroots and Female sides within the following weeks.

With the cornerstone of our Youth System being the personal growth of each player, while also harnessing each individuality in a perspective of shared development, our nurturing strategy places utmost focus on the premise of encouraging the enrollment and inclusion of under-age players for each U-sides.

After twelve matches, the black-and-blue lads sit 13th in the standings with a tally of 14 points. The championship, on hold ever since the beginning of November, is set to resume on the 7th of January with the outing against Cagliari.

After a bumpy start, the team coached by Marco Fioretto forged ahead bucking the trend with a positive streak of 5 consecutive matches without knowing defeat, accruing 11 points, between September and October. The latest league fixture witnessed our Primavera imposing themselves over Sassuolo, the third force of the league, in the home 2-0 victory hosted in Zingonia. In the aforementioned fixture, Tommaso De Nipoti, the current captain and top scorer of the team with 6 goals after 10 appearances, found once again his scoring ways netting one of the two goals featuring the final scoreboard.
