Atalanta win 3-0 over Fiorentina on matchday 11 of the 2020-2021 Serie A TIM season at the Gewiss Stadium.
A minute’s silence was observed in memory of Paolo Rossi before kick-off. The Nerazzurri immediately tried to break the deadlock in the opening minutes. The first attempt came off Freuler in the 7th minute, but his finish was off target, so in the 10th minute Zapata with a great header tested Dragowski, then Hateboer was blocked twice. On 19 Romero also had an attempt on target, but Dragowski was still unbeatable. Fiorentina got dangerous in the 21st minute with Vlahovic: Gollini was very good at palming the Viola forward left-foot shot onto the top of the crossbar. Just before the 30th minute, Zapata again severely tested Dragowski. The Colombian disguised himself as an assist man in the 44th minute, when he pulled back for Robin Gosens who came sliding in to score the opener. In the second half the Nerazzurri locked up three points, first with a splendid free-kick from Malinovskyi in the 56th minute and then with Toloi’s header following a Djimsiti header in the 63rd minute. Barreca forced a save by Gollini late on and Gyabuaa made his Serie A debut. At the Gewiss Stadium the Nerazzurri win 3-0.
