It was an uphill game from the start: Marusic scored the opener after three minutes. The Nerazzurri tried to make it level but the Lazio defence closed every space and conceded little. Gollini made a great save on 32 to deflect Milinkovic-Savic’s header. Correa doubled the visitors lead, as he went past Gollini and scored in an empty goal. On 66 Gollini saved Lazzari’s effort. The Nerazzurri reopened the game on 79 after Muriel was denied by the post, but Pašalić was there to tap in. On 82 substitutes Pereira-Muriqi sealed the 3-1.
