After defeating AlbinoLeffe on Tuesday, coach Modesto’s lads have extended their winning streak with a 2-0 win in the Serie C NOW Group A MD27 against Alessandria after a solid display at the Caravaggio stadium.
On a dominant first half, the Nerazzurri showed to have the game sewn up ever since the opening minutes. Despite a speculative approach throughout the first 30 minutes of the match, coach Modesto’s lads still managed to put the opponents in dire straits with the 3 yellow cards shown to the away team standing as a testament of Atalanta’s fruitful tactics. Upon being waved the second yellow card on 33 minutes, Alessandria player Fiumanò was sent off for tackling Capone to the ground. It was then Panada who, capitalizing on the following free-kick, gave Atalanta the lead with a ranged stunner.

As the black-and-blue siege raged on, both Ghislandi (on 76 minutes) and Vlahovic (in the 79th) had a close brush with featuring the scoresheet within mere minutes. 88 minutes in and this time it was the crossbar to deny Ceresoli the goal. After claiming the 3 points against Alessandria, the Nerazzurri will hit the pitch on Wednesday 21/2 for the rescheduling of the game against Renate.
