Atalanta win ‘Premio Rosa Camuna’ award

The ceremony held in the Palazzo Lombardia

“They are an extremely talented team that have contributed to the history of Italian football due to their qualification for the Champions League, the goal record in the 2019-2020 Serie A season and their recent achievements. Atalanta have always been a symbol for the city of Bergamo and its territory. During the dramatic months of the Covid-19 health emergency, Bergamo represented the desire to be reborn and overcome the severest difficulties of all times”.

With these words of motivation, President Percassi received the Premio Rosa Camuna award during the private ceremony at the Palazzo Lombardia in Milan. The award was presented by Attilio Fontana, the President of the Region of Lombardy, and by Alessandro Fermi, the President of the Regional Council.

“I’d like to thank the Region of Lombardy and President Fontana for giving this important award to Atalanta – said President Antonio Percassi -. This award is even more prestigious for us because we receive it in such a difficult and particular period of time. That’s why we’d like to share it with all Bergamo, all its citizens and all the Atalanta fans. The strength is in the union and together we tried to fight against the invisible enemy. We are still doing it and we are sure that, in the end, we’ll win the most important match”.

The Premio Rosa Camuna award was established by the Regional Council of Lombardy in order to acknowledge publicly hard work, creativity and brilliance every year of those who contributed considerably to the economic, social, cultural and sport development of Lombardy.
