After resting on Tuesday, training resumed at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia with a friendly match (two halves of 40 minutes each) against Mapello, a team currently competing in the Eccellenza league. The test resulted in an 8-0 win for the Nerazzurri, with coach Gasperini lining up all those players who either did not take the pitch or contributed a token presence in the Bologna match.

Boga tapped in the opening goal in the 15th minute after Éderson had hit the inner post in the build-up, while Mæhle doubled Atalanta’s lead in the 19th minute after combining with Lookman.

The second half began with Pašalić’s volley from Lookman’s assist to make it 3-0. The Croatian returned the favour four minutes later and assisted our no. 11 for Atalanta’s fourth goal. Pašalić bagged his personal hat-trick, as he controlled with the chest and fired into the bottom corner in the 20th minute and then tapped in the goalkeeper’s rebound in the 37th minute; in between came Boga’s brace set up by Éderson. Lookman’s powerful finish into the roof of the net rounded off the game in the final minute.

Preparations will go ahead tomorrow, Thursday the 12th of January, at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia with a double session to be held behind closed doors.
