Atalanta took the lead thanks to a header from Giuseppe Biava but Cagliari came from behind through Dessena. At the death of the match, Mauricio Pinilla scored a fantastic goal with his first of many Nerazzurri overhead kicks.

5) How many former Atalanta players play for Cagliari?


Boris Radunović made only one appearance in the two seasons he spent in Bergamo. Raoul Bellanova also made one appearance against Brescia (6-2) in July 2020. Alberto Grassi, the Nerazzurri Academy’s graduate, performed for the first team for three seasons; Daniele Baselli made the same journey: after being loaned to Cittadella for two seasons, he racked up 55 appearances for the first team in two seasons.
