“La Scuola allo Stadio” 2024: the opening day

The students met up with defenders Masi and Racu from Atalanta U23s and U17s

The 21st edition of “La Scuola allo Stadio “, the socio-educational initiative promoted and organised by Atalanta mainly aimed at all primary and secondary school students, premiered today with defenders Alberto Masi and Andrei Racu, respectively from Atalanta U23s and U17s playing hosts in the ribbon-cutting gathering.

During the meet-up, the two black-and-blue players answered the questions and satisfied the curiosities of our young attendees, namely the 14 classes from: the “Belotti” High School of Bergamo, the “Galli” High School of Bergamo, the “Paleocapa” State Industrial and Technical Institute of Bergamo, the “Pesenti” Professional institute for the industry and craftmanship of Bergamo, the “Rubini” Technical Institute of Romano di Lombardia and the “Mascheroni” Scientific High School of Bergamo – for a grand total of over 300 students.

“I’m very really pleased to be here today – said Alberto Masi – and let you in on my personal and professional story while also offering my advice to all of you, especially given your delicate position of youngsters during their coming of age. Since we footballers are seen as models, it’s our responsibility to lead by example by sharing our experience, which I believe will come in handy in the future. As part of our attempts to send out positive messages, every chance of sharing our thoughts with teenagers like these is as good as gold. In addition to the conventional reminder on the importance of school, I also cared to expand on the formative value of sport in my personal upbringing: as any other form of education, not only does sport teach you to respect your team, schedules and rules but he also helps you in relating to other people on a personal level once you grow up”.

This has been but the first of the ten upcoming meetups comprised within the 2024 edition of the “La Scuola allo Stadio” project (with the next ones to take place in the mornings of February 27, 28 and 29), set to involve 3,135 students across 64 schools.
