Ademola Lookman’s Nigeria are the first AFCON finalists: the Super Eagles defeated South Africa 4-2 on penalties after the scoreboard hung in a 1-1 balance after both regular and extra times.

Not only did Lookman start the game, but he also played both the full 90 minutes and the majority of the first half of extra time before leaving the pitch on 12 minutes of injury time.

The tournament’s Grand Finale, scheduled for Sunday, February 11, will see Nigeria take on Ivory Coast after the hosts defeated DR Congo 1-0.
