On matchday 19 of the 2020-2021 Serie A TIM season Atalanta win big at the Meazza stadium in Milan over the team top of the table Milan. The Nerazzurri put in an excellent performance to beat the leaders 3-0. The first half of the season ends in the best possible way.

After a good start with two chances for Hateboer and then one for Iličić, Romero gave Atalanta the lead on 26, as the defender made the most of a Gosens cross to break the deadlock. The Nerazzurri kept playing and they sealed the win in the second half. Atalanta were given a penalty on 53 after Kessie’s elbow hit on Ilicic, who converted low to beat Donnarumma and double their lead. Zapata and Iličić almost made it 3-0, and, at the other end, Romero was excellent at stopping Kessie, then Gollini pulled off a great save to deny Mandzukic on 71. The post denied Zapata’s header on 74, but the goal was coming and the Colombian scored the third on 77 after a Romero slide-rule pass. The first half of the season ends with this 3-0 win and 36 points on the table.
