After his very first, dating to the 3rd of December 2011 with the goal scored whilst playing for Lecce in the outing against Napoli, Lucho never satiated his hunger for goals, honing more and more his “killer instinct” in his various stints between Udinese, Sampdoria, Fiorentina and, from the 2019-2020 season, Atalanta. With the Orobic team, Luis scored 51 goals, more than half of his aggregated tally.

At the end of the match against Spezia, Luis Muriel was gifted with a celebrative shirt bearing the #100 number to celebrate such a prestigious and momentous landmark huddled together with the black-and-blue fans.
