On matchday 20 of the 2023-2024 Primavera 1 TIM “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti”, Atalanta’s U-19 side were held to a 1-1 draw by Sampdoria at the Carillo Pesenti Pigna in Alzano.

After the Nerazzurri had taken an early lead through Vavassori, who fired into the bottom corner assisted by Armstrong, coach Bosi’s lads continued to press in the first half, with Vavassori, Vlahović and Bonanomi all going close to doubling Atalanta’s lead, but they couldn’t capitalise on their chances. In the second half, Vlahović almost doubled his tally when his shot was saved by the Sampdoria goalkeeper and his angled drive went inches wide, before Uberti’s 66th-minute strike put the visitors back on level terms. Bosi’s side tried to fight back in search of a winning goal, but Scardigno did well to keep out both Manzoni’s free-kick and Jonsson’s effort from inside the area as the game ended in a 1-1 draw in Alzano.
