Frosinone came out on top on matchday 14 of the 2022-2023 Primavera 1 TIM championship “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” as the visitors clinched a 2-1 victory over Atalanta’s Primavera side at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia. Two goals in a span of three minutes turned out to be decisive and turned the game around in favour of the hosts after De Nipoti (in the stock photo) had given Atalanta the lead in the 54th minute.
The first half kicked off with a chance for Vorlický within two minutes, as his right-foot curler skimmed the post, and then Riccio’s volley from the edge of the box tested the visiting goalkeeper five minutes later. Frosinone’s response found Bertini always alert, as he both saved Selvini’s finish on 22 minutes and Rosati’s insidious cross-shot on 27 minutes. The visitors threatened again in the 28th minute with Cangianiello, who could not find the back of the net at the back post.
Captain De Nipoti broke the deadlock in the 54th minute, by firing a left-foot shot into the underside of the crossbar. Bertini was forced to make a great save in the 56th minute, palming out Condello’s curler from the top corner and turning it onto the post. However, Mulattieri drew the visitors level with a great finish from the edge of the box in the 70th minute and two minutes later, Frosinone took the lead through Pahic. That goal turned out to be the decider, as the Nerazzurri kept pushing in search of an equaliser but failed to convert their chances.
