Atalanta Under-19s coasted to a 2-0 victory over Monza at the Carillo Pesenti Pigna stadium in Alzano Lombardo on matchday 9 of the 2023-2024 Primavera 1 TIM “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” league as Vlahović and Manzoni sealed the second league win in a row, the third one including Wednesday’s Cup fixture.

Also lined up for the Nerazzurri was our Under-23 player Varnier. After Bonanomi and then Fernandes had a go each, Vlahović’s fierce effort tested Mazza on 17 minutes and one minute later, Vavassori was also denied the opener by the visiting goalkeeper. While Capolupo failed to finish from a scoring position in the 24th minute, the Nerazzurri grew into the game and opened the scoring on 40 minutes when Mazza parried from Obrić after a corner but could not do anything on Vlahović’s winning tap-in.

The Nerazzurri doubled their lead three minutes into the second half when Manzoni cut inside and his right-foot angled drive found the bottom corner. Manzoni was then denied by the Monza goalkeeper on 50 minutes before Vlahović fired into the side netting in the 65th minute. With Pardel contributing a couple of late saves to keep a clean sheet, the Nerazzurri ran out 2-0 winners.
