On matchday 9 of the 2020-2021 Primavera 1 TIM “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” championship at the Bortolotti Training Centre in Zingonia, coach Brambilla’s Atalanta overcome Sampdoria by 3-1 and therefore get their second consecutive victory.

The first chance of the game came off Rosa on 23, but his shot was deflected for a corner. The Nerazzurri took the lead from the resulting corner: Scalvini scored with a header assisted by Panada. Atalanta doubled their lead on 30 when Grassi went past a defender and set it up for Italeng, who beat Avogadri with a header. Italeng almost scored the second one on 36 with a right-foot curler which was inches off target, then Panada skimmed the bar on 41.

The second half opened up with a great save by Gelmi on Trimboli on 55 and then he pulled off another on 67 when he saved Di Stefano’s header. Sampdoria pulled one back on 73 through a penalty scored by Trimboli (after Somma fouled Grassi). On 88 De Nipoti, right off the bench, made it 3-1 after dribbling past a defender and put the game to bed.
