On matchday 26 of the 2021-2022 Primavera 1 TIMVISION “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” championship, Atalanta Primavera claim a big victory over Cagliari after the Nerazzurri win 4-3 at the end of a thrilling game rich in goals and emotions at the Centro Sportivo Asseminello in Assemini.
Coach Brambilla’s Nerazzurri took an early lead in the 13th minute through Oliveri, who cut inside and fired into the far bottom corner with a left-foot shot. One minute later, Sidibe had the chance to double Atalanta’s lead, but his finish was wide. However, it was Sidibe himself to double the lead on 25 minutes with a finish from the edge of the box. Just before half-time, Sassi denied Conti from a free kick with a great save.
The second half started with Desogus pulling one back for Cagliari within a few seconds, but Oliveri immediately restored Atalanta’s two-goal lead thanks to a splendid right-footed finish into the top corner to seal a brace. Cagliari reopened the game on 63 minutes with Desogus and Sassi had to make a save on Luvumbo in the 68th minute to avoid the equaliser. The 3-3 arrived in the 72nd minute, as Cagliari were awarded a penalty: Sassi did well to parry Desogus’ spot kick but couldn’t do anything when Yanken tapped in. It was not over yet, though, as Renault restored the Nerazzurri’s lead when he tapped home the rebound after Fusco had parried Chiwisa’s effort. In stoppages, Cagliari pushed hard until the end but eventually, the final score was 3-4.
