On matchday 13 of the 2020-2021 Primavera 1 TIM “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” championship at the Begato 9 ground in Genoa, the hosts won 2-0 thanks to two late goals.

The first half was balanced and didn’t offer great chances. After Vorlicky (in the stock photo) curled his shot over, Agostino turned Ruggeri’s great free-kick over the bar on 17. Before half time, Gelmi parried Estrella’s finish. The second half was livelier and saw Brambilla’s team get immediately dangerous on 51 with two finishes from Vorlicky and Ruggeri, which were parried by the goalkeeper. Agostino then saved another attempt, this time from Kobacki, who picked up Vorlicky’s cross at the near post on 55. Then Vorlicky fired his left-foot shot over and Kobacki saw another effort go over minutes later. When the time was ripe for the Nerazzurri to score, Genoa took the lead through Kallon on 76 with a left-foot shot from the edge of the box.  The final attempts didn’t bring any leveller and Estrella doubled Genoa’s lead on the counter in the final minutes of stoppage time. A new midweek round is scheduled for Wednesday 10 March at 12 CET: Atalanta host Ascoli at the Bortolotti Training Centre.
