During the unveiling ceremony of the 19th “Amici dei Bambini” tournament held on Wednesday and hosted by the Milano-based Football Club Aldini Bariviera, Giorgio Scalvini and Davide Zappacosta were awarded the “Amico dei bambini… Un esempio per loro” trophy.
While Zappacosta was bestowed the Career Prize, Scalvini was handed the recognition as Young Football Player.

The charitable purpose of the tournament was presented during the event, with all proceeds going to Ai.Bi’s “Casa Padre Mario” project, the new educational community for young people, named in memory of the missionary priest in Brazil who inspired the mission of ‘Amici dei Bambini’ 40 years ago. This structure adds to the 17 complexes that Amici dei Bambini already operates between Educational Communities, Family Homes and Mother-Child Communities.
The tournament, which is reserved for the ‘Esordienti 2011’ category, will be held at the Aldini Sports Centre in Milan from 7 April to 9 June 2024 and will feature 38 professional (including the Nerazzurri) and amateur teams.
