The Academy sides to a sustainability class

The U12s and U11s met up with professor Giuliacci

In the name of a nice and educational initiative, the Attività Pre-agonistica teams went to a sustainability class.

The first meeting, which was attended by the U12s and U11s, took place on Tuesday in the Accademia Favini-Vedrai Lab conference room with an exceptional speaker, professor Andrea Giuliacci, a wide-known Italian meteorologist, as part of the MeteoHeroes project, the initiative created to raise awareness on the environmental and climate problems among younger generations by providing them with the tools and bits of knowledge to make a step forward towards respecting our planets and its resources.

From the premises that the solution to the environmental and climate problems lies in the hands of the children of today, namely the adults of tomorrow; notions such as ecology, respect for nature and an in-depth knowledge of its dynamics, will be a key component of the cultural baggage with which the futures generations will tackle the global challenges to be. Through the histories of the Meteo Heroes, six young superheroes with powers involving weather phenomena, this project is aimed at explaining to young audiences the right course of action to ensure the safekeeping of our planet.

This Tuesday’s meeting was the first of a series of gatherings set to involve further Attività Pre-Agonistica sides.
