The Academy’s night out at Pit’sa’s

Rallying all together for an educational and entertaining evening

A get-together rich in “food for growth”, both literally and figuratively. In a nutshell, such was the cheerful evening which had a handful of players from Atalanta’s Academy as protagonists a few days ago: the Atalanta posse gave themselves an appointment at Pitsa’s, the inclusive pizzeria located in via Pitentino, in Bergamo, which promotes the full work inclusion for people with Down syndrome, before attending a theatrical play at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo in pure “dinner show” fashion. Going beyond the mere convivial moment, such social occasion also held an undeniable educational and formative value.

Holding a “first-row seat” of such a special night on the town were the Academy players currently residing at the Casa del Giovane, accompanied by their educators and coaches. The event was also graced by the presence of  Roberto Samaden, Head of Atalanta’s Youth System, and Cristina Radici Percassi representing the Club at a corporate level.

Aside from the core task of ensuring the sporting nurturing of all its young athletes, Atalanta embrace the holistic approach, whereby the duty of a Youth Sector should go beyond its mere operational purposes and encompass all those aspects falling within the scope of educational, cultural and ethical grounding to ensure a fully-fledged fulfilment in terms of personal and human growth. As such, these activities are part and parcel of Atalanta BC’s mission.
