The New Gewiss Stadium: Lego brick by Lego brick

The most extensive European exhibition on artworks made out of LEGO bricks, held at the Oriocenter in Bergamo, set the scenery for the unveiling of a new and fully-fledged black-and-blue craft: the scale replica of the Gewiss Stadium, created with utmost care down to the last detail.

After 100,000 LEGO bricks, 3 months for the design and prototyping stages, 30 days of manufacturing, carried out during the course of over 1,200 hours by 5 builders, the Gewiss Stadium came into being: with a width of 155 cm a length of 220 cm and a height of 35 cm, this replica faithfully represents the final  layout of the black-and-blue fief at the end of the refurbishing.

With the official unveiling taking place on March 19 in Oriocenter, the ceremony was graced by the presence of Atalanta President Antonio Percassi, attending on behalf of the Club together with a host of young Nerazzurri from the black-and-blue Male and Female Academy sides. The launch was chaperoned by none other than Rafal Szymanski, creator of the work in question and curator of the exhibition.

Located on the ground floor of the Oriocenter venue (orange/purple section), the exhibition closes on the 2nd of April. Opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 09:00 PM (except on Easter, Sunday March 31st).
