The Under-15s’ first training session at the Centro Bortolotti

Roberto Previtali has been appointed coach

The new season is officially underway also for the Under-15s, with the first session after the gathering at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia as ground zero.

The black-and-blue team will be trained by Roberto Previtali: for the sake of continuity, he has been promoted from his previous role as head coach of the U14s as a way to bring ahead the work begun last season with the roster of players born in 2009.

“For the first time, I will have the chance of sticking with the same workgroup for two consecutive seasons and, although I’m looking forward to this novelty myself, picking up where we left off with a group you already know surely makes a huge difference. Time-wise, this option will cut out any assessment or break-in periods (if we of course opt out of the changes that growing up inherently brings about in terms of intensity and playing style altogether). It is thus of the essence that both myself and my staff do our level best to stand by these lads during such a delicate period of growth and change”.

“We’re looking forward to getting back on track – goes on the black-and-blue coach -. I’ll work with a budding group, which will also feature many new interesting signings. Plus, the option of spending some time “in each other’s pockets” at the training camp in Lovere will also help our new players carve out their space in the group. As all my colleagues pointed out, and I am no exception either, the camp will foster bonds and close ranks in view of the upcoming U15 championship, bound to be a hectic yet challenging endeavour for our lads. After a couple of friendlies to put in some playing time, we’ll be off to Tione di Trento for the Paolo Valenti Summer Cup, the first serious test ahead of the start of the season”.
