Giovanni Bosi’s U18s ended their 2022 Viareggio Cup journey in the semifinal as the Nerazzurri were defeated 3-0 at the Stadio Torrini in Sesto Fiorentino by Sassuolo, who have qualified for the final of the tournament. The deadlock was broken in the first half with Sassuolo converting two penalties and then scoring a goal in the final minutes of the second half, making it the final 3-0. The Nerazzurri have been eliminated but must be satisfied with their great performance in the tournament.
