Group A matchday 13 of the 2023-2024 Serie C NOW saw Atalanta Under-23s claim a convincing away 3-0 victory over Pergolettese at the “Giuseppe Voltini” stadium in Crema.

Despite the many chances created within the first 15 minutes of the game, the goal resisted Atalanta until the 19th minute when Di Serio scores the penalty conquered after being tackled to the ground by Pergolettese’s keeper Soncin. On 28 minutes Ceresoli’s daisy-cutter pass set up Awua, whose shot turned out too weak to trouble the opposing goalie. Not a minute passed that Cissè went inches away from doubling Atalanta’s lead as his header flew wide to the side. The 34th minute was marked by Pergolettese’s main chance of the whole first half with Gyabuaa’s timely defensive undercut thwarting Guiu Vilanova’s attempt. The first half winded up with the Nerazzurri on the offensive: on 45 minutes, Del Lungo went solo, bursting into the box and loosening a shot that was eventually deflected by a Pergolettese defender.

The Nerazzurri wasted no time in the second half and doubled their lead on 49 minutes through Palestra, who controlled Ceresoli’s cross with his chest and then turned it in with confidence. Modesto’s lads finished off the match in the 77th minute when Di Serio cut into the box and curled his effort into the top corner with his right foot, bagging a brace. Although Pergolettese tried to pull one back in the last 10 minutes, Vismara was well alert and thwarted any scoring threat coming off the hosts.
