Women’s U-15s: preparations began today

Coach De Maria has been confirmed at the helm

After the Under 17, the preseason officially started this morning also for the female U15s with the gathering and the first training held at the “Valfregia” Sporting Venue in Trezzo sull’Adda.

Gennaro De Maria has been confirmed at the helm of the black-and-blue lasses. “A new project with a brand-new roster is obviously in the cards: the new workgroup will comprise 20 players born in 2009. We’ll pick up from a good starting point, with the aim of helping our lasses undertake a path of growth and costant improvement as a top priority. Results will eventually follow suit. One season after the other we’ll keep on improving, raising the bar higher with each passing campaign. Hence, our work has to encompass all aspects: from the technical-tactical dimension to the physical-athletic on in order to mold players capable of competing at the highest level”.

Preparations are to resume in the mark of the experience accrued in the past season: “This team was already crowned champion of its group stage, despite the players playing below the age criteria. The group is full of competitive potential: on the grounds of the experience gained in the previous season  as a competitive advantage, we deem these lasses capable of doing even better”.

The green light is scheduled for the 24th of August, with the Female Quarenghi Cup in San Pellegrino:“A prestigious tournament undoubtedly. We’ll try our best to take advantage of these days of training as a way to approach this commitment in tip-top shape, also due to its importance in assessing the overall competition-readiness of our players. After a week of training we’ll eventually hit the pitch with a proper benchmark against the likes of Cremonese, Inter and Rappresentativa Delegazione Bergamo”.

After the semifinals against Cremonese at 10:00 CEST, the black-and-blue lasses will dispute the final phase starting at 15:30 CEST
