It’s the eve of Atalanta-Napoli for the Nerazzurri and here’s the traditional pre-match interview with Gian Piero Gasperini who talks about the opponents, the shape of the team and much more.

Gian Piero Gasperini, four games in 11 days: it comes naturally to ask how Atalanta are doing.
Atalanta are doing very well morally. We started off with three wins and that was essential for the table, their mood and everything. We have to start over in every match, this situation is new to everybody and it’ll be complicated for everyone.
The next opponents are Napoli who restarted well: two draws in the Coppa Italia, which they eventually won, while in the league they have won both away to Verona and at the San Paolo against Spal and among other things, six league wins in a row also for Napoli.
Napoli are a great team. Their previous trend was a bit odd. They are doing really well right now and they are proving themselves. At the beginning of the season everyone thought they could fight for the Scudetto, for the title alongside Juventus, Lazio and Inter. They might have had problems but now they are proving themselves.
Is there anything you fear the most of Rino Gattuso’s Napoli?
What I said before, the quality of the team. They have a significant squad with many options in attack and especially in the midfield with quality players. It’s a team built to fight for much higher objectives.
What Atalanta will we see on the pitch against Napoli? Malinovskyi will miss the game as he’s been suspended.
Malinovskyi has been suspended. We also have some problems with Palomino. As for the rest, all of us are here.
It is expected to be a good match on paper, as two of the fittest teams of this restart are going to face each other.
There’s a lot of expectation for this game, both because of what the two teams are doing and the table. It’s true that we have a good advantage, but we consider Napoli a team able to get important results. We are focused on our target and we know that despite the advantage we have, the points are still many and we have to get them.
