It is a great honour to host the Azzurri’s match at the Gewiss Stadium. A meeting of our Senior National team returns to our city after 14 years: this is a further tribute to Bergamo and to all the Bergamaschi hit so hard by an invisible but devastating enemy.

I thank the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and its President Gabriele Gravina for choosing the Gewiss Stadium as venue for this match of the Nations League.

Let me also add that seeing again the Italian national team in our stadium is a source of great pride and satisfaction: a goal achieved also thanks to those who for a year and a half have been working hard to refurbish the home of Atalanta.
