Bittersweet show match for Atalanta Esports captain on PES2020 Jacopo “JC_Stunner” Crocchia in the night of Monday 24th March, who overcame Fiorentina Esports in the first round, but eventually had to give in to the Sassuolo Esports player.

The triangular show match was entirely streamed live on the eSerie A TIM channel, waiting for the beginning of the homonymous league.

The first round was Atalanta-Fiorentina, which saw JC_Stunner start off well with a win both in the first leg (2-0 thanks to Gomez and Iličić) and in the second leg (2-1, goals from Papu and Muriel). Thanks to the two wins, Jacopo topped the table with 6 points, immediately clinching a spot in the final.

Fiorentina-Sassuolo came after that, with a draw in the first leg (1 point each) and a win for Sassuolo in the second leg. For this reason, Sassuolo earned the second slot in the final with 4 points, eliminating Fiorentina Esports.

That is why the round between Sassuolo and Atalanta, as scheduled in the triangular, did not take place and they immediately skipped to the final between the two teams, playing the best of 3 matches.

In the final, Muriel’s brace wasn’t enough for Jacopo to win the first match and was overcome 3-2 by Sassuolo in the final minutes. In the second match, just one goal for Atalanta Esports with Papu Gomez, while Sassuolo scored three, winning the second match and the triangular showmatch.
